• Your Home folder (Mac)

3. Use an Active / Archive System

Make 2 folders inside Documents:

Active = current projects

Archive = completed items

Keep projects grouped together in a folder, like 2025 Taxes

• the 2025 Taxes folder stays in Doument\Active until it is complete.
• once completed, drag the entire 2025 Taxes folder from Active to Archive

4. Use Clear File Names

It’s how you name your files.

Many files end up with names like:

• Scan

Six months later, no one remembers what those files actually contain.

A better approach is to include three things in your file name whenever possible:
