I have been fixing computers for thirty-five years. Twenty-four of them running this shop.

This app exists because of something I see allthe time, and it has nothing to do with my customers doing anything wrong.

A computer gets slow. The owner does the sensible thing and searches for help. What comes back is a wall of programs promising to fix it. The marketing is excellent. Better than mine, honestly. Clean site, confident numbers, a big button, a countdown.

So they download one. It scans for ninety seconds. It reports 1,247 errors. It wants $59.99 a year.

They pay. Of course they pay. The site looked professional and the number looked serious and nobody wants to be the person who ignored a warning about their own computer.

Then the machine gets slower. Now it is running a program that scans constantly, serves ads, and often brought two friends that also start with Windows. Some of them are quietly reporting on what you do. The thing sold as the fix became the problem.

I see these machines constantly. Nobody was careless. They went looking for help and got sold something by people who are far better at marketing than at fixing computers.

That is what I got tired of. Not the questions. The industry sitting between people and a straight answer.

So I built the thing I would rather they found.
